Culture-Based Tests Are Still Essential | |
In the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector, there are new microbial water quality testing technologies and innovations. These innovations are largely around devices or different processes such as Next Generation Sensors (NGS), Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), immunoassays, Tryptophan-Like Fluorescence (TLF) and biomarkers, and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) devices.
Despite these advanced testing technologies, culture-based testing methods are still essential in the WASH sector. Non-profits, NGOs and governments in low and middle income countries still rely heavily on culture-based tests, as do the World Health Organization and U.S. EPA.

ChildFund Uses Aquagenx Test Kits | |
ChildFund wrote a story about how Aquagenx water quality test kits helped improve the lives of a family and community in Kiribati. They graciously gave us permission to publish it:
"Mary is a mother who was born and raised in Betio. She is married and has three young children. Mary is now 31 and is a full-time mother to her children. Her husband works abroad as a seasonal worker. Mary is very energetic and works hard for her children’s health and well being. She has two daughters and one son; her daughters are 10 and two-years-old and the youngest is seven-months who is her son. Her oldest is in Elementary now and the other two stay with her at home.
When we first approached Mary’s home as part of our household drinking water quality testing program, she was a bit panicked and afraid because she thought of what happened to her son the day before when he got diarrhea. Waterborne diseases are common in Kiribati, and this country has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world, which can be attributed to infantile diarrhea."

International Water Centre Uses Aquagenx Kits | |
The International Water Centre in Australia had a research partnership for a WASH program in Pacifc Island nations. Its partners were the University of the South Pacific and Solomon Islands National University, who visited 15 communities in Ra Province (Fiji) and Guadalcanal Province (Solomon Islands).
Data collection activities were part of a baseline assessment for monitoring and evaluation, prior to the implementation of community-based water management approaches by government and NGO partners.

We also accept Purchase Orders that span up to a 12-month period. This might help you achieve an even lower cost per kit. The Purchase Order (PO) can be partially fulfilled duing that 12-month period accoring to your requirements. Each shipment is invoiced separately using the low unit cost of the total PO.
For example, if you commit to purchasing 60 x CBT EC+TC MPN 100-Pack Kits within 12-months, your unit cost for each invoice is for the total 60 kits, even if we just ship one of the 60 kits.
